Thanks to the collaboration between NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti and the Università Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO, the First Level University Master's Degree in Fashion Law will start in October 2022. The intensive didactic programme will train legal professionals and managers for the fashion and textile supply chains. So, it gives the chance to work in one of the most flourishing industries worldwide.

Structure, purpose and faculty of the NABA and UNINETTUNO Master

The first edition of the Master in Fashion Law has an innovative blended formula with both online and on-campus activities. The first ones will be held on UNINETTUNO's E-learning platform, while the others at NABA's Milan campus. The blended didactic approach makes it possible to design an intensive programme with theoretical and laboratory modules. The topics will range from contracts to intellectual property regulations, from digital marketplace dynamics to new technologies in the fashion field and to sustainability in terms of circular economy, respect for the environment and supply chain.

The Master’s purpose is to provide all the skills to manage business, legal, and marketing issues. It also focuses on sustainability (environmental, economic, socio-cultural) and digitalisation in the fashion and textile industries. Therefore, students will be able to work in legal offices of firms, companies, trade associations and institutions. At the same time, they could hold several positions within the Fashion System, such as Fashion Coordinator, Fashion Consultant, Quality Control and Product Development Manager.

Professionals active in the fashion and legal sectors are part of the First Level Master’s Degree in Fashion Law faculty. UNINETTUNO will involve lecturers such as Patrizio Bernardo, Massimo Chiais, Stanislao Chimenti, Bruno Cova, Maurizio Delfino, Maria Luigia Franceschelli, Massimo Palombi, Anna Laura, Francesca Petronio, Carmen Pollifrone, Claudia Schmiedt (all from Studio Legale Delfino e Associati Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP), Sara Cavagnero (Northumbria University), Marina Tonella (Co-founder and Director Mestieri-LAB®); while for NABA Alessandra Galasso (Art Critic, Curator & Publisher), Simone Facchinetti (FACCHINETTI Studio legale), Michela Maggi (Studio legale Maggi), Gloria Maria Cappelletti (Editor at Large and Creative Director, i-D Italy), Marta Santambrogio (Textile designer, Founder Studiosanta Milano).
Their contribution will be vital to offering up-to-date insights and maintaining a professionally aware approach to classes. The coordinators of the Master's are Luca Belotti (also Masters of Arts in Fashion Design and in Textile Design Course Leader) and Francesca Maschio (International Lawyer, Tenured Researcher and Professor at the Faculty of Law of UNINETTUNO).

The Master's will be in English. Thanks to the technologies developed by UNINETTUNO on its E-learning platform, students will be able to follow the lessons also in Italian with multilingual simultaneous translation. The annual duration is 1500 hours, equal to 60 CFU (University Educational Credits).
