The Programme: Overview

This one-year programme (First Level University Master’s Degree in Management of Creative and Cultural Industries, Major Design Management) offers a real connection between management and design, two worlds that inform and empower each other. NABA and Luiss Business School bring together creative and managerial vision to educate professionals capable of redefining the future of the creative and design industries. The students develop a deep understanding of the contemporary design landscape - in its planning, economic and social aspects - and learn how to intervene with critical vision and concrete tools. Sustainability not as a constraint, but as a systemic paradigm. Innovation not as a goal, but as a method to envision products, services and organisations that can live up to the future.

Learning Objectives:

During the Master, students have the opportunity to:

 • to develop a strategic and managerial vision for the design practice, integrating the fundamental aspects of business with the disciplines of design and of the creative industries
 • to master the ecosystem of contemporary design - from creative direction to design system, from service design to the integration of artificial intelligence tools - developing the ability to manage complex design projects in both corporate and entrepreneurial contexts
 • to develop a sustainable entrepreneurial mindset that understands market needs, generating innovation and assessing the economic, social and environmental impact of design choices
Study Plan

This Master’s programme aims to give students the necessary tools to work at the intersection of business and design, fostering a strategic and innovative vision within the design sector and the contemporary creative industries.

It turns design practice into a competitive advantage: through a theoretical and project-based approach to the fundamentals of marketing - business planning, strategy, marketing, and business economics - the students develop the ability to analyse the market, identify user needs, and translate them into high-impact products, services, and visual systems.

The programme deepens the study of creative direction and storytelling, service design, UX/UI with artificial intelligence tools, design system, entrepreneurial culture and systemic sustainability processes: a comprehensive path to design with a vision, innovate with a method and lead the change within the creative industries.
