The Programme: Overview

This one-year programme (First Level University Master’s Degree in Management of Creative and Cultural Industries, Major Digital Entertainment Business) prepares a new generation of professionals to operate within the rapidly evolving digital entertainment industry across cinema, streaming and digital platforms. Combining creative vision with managerial, strategic and production expertise, the programme explores how audiovisual content is developed, positioned, managed and distributed in highly innovative and competitive markets. Graduates will be equipped to work at the intersection of creativity, business and audience engagement, contributing to the growth and transformation of the contemporary media landscape.

Learning Objectives

During the Master, students have the opportunity to: 

  • to understand the structures, dynamics, and business models of the contemporary digital entertainment industry, analysing its creative, production, technological, and commercial processes
  • to apply managerial and strategic approaches to the development and coordination of audiovisual and entertainment projects, integrating creativity, innovation, and commercial sustainability
  • to critically evaluate the impact of digital platforms and emerging technologies on global entertainment markets, with a focus on storytelling, ethics, and cultural production
Study Plan
<p>This Master&rsquo;s programme offers an interdisciplinary path designed to prepare professionals for the rapidly evolving entertainment and media industries. Combining managerial, strategic, creative, and production-oriented perspectives, the programme explores the dynamics shaping contemporary audiovisual ecosystems across cinema, streaming, digital platforms, and cultural industries.</p> <p>The study plan integrates core business disciplines - including strategy, marketing, accounting, and performance measurement - with specialised courses focused on entertainment industries, production planning, distribution models, communication strategies, and audience engagement. Particular attention is given to the impact of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence on content creation, promotion, and consumption, alongside the legal, cultural, and economic frameworks influencing global media markets.</p> <p>Through a balance of theoretical inquiry, case studies, and applied practice, participants develop the ability to manage complex creative projects, design innovative business and communication strategies, and critically engage with contemporary issues related to storytelling, digital culture, and innovation management. The programme equips graduates with the analytical, strategic, and operational competencies required to operate effectively within the international digital entertainment landscape.</p>

Vincenzo Cuccia
<p>Vincenzo Cuccia has a degree in Cultural Heritage from Universit&agrave; Statale di Milano and in Editing from the Milan Scuola Civica di Cinema e Nuovi Media. As part of his previous professional experience, he worked as an editor in advertising and television, where he collaborated with the RAI (Milan tv broadcast production area) on entertainment, culture and information channels. After working in the SAE Institute since 2009 as lecturer and then Academic Coordinator and Manager of the activity of undergraduate and postgraduate courses on the Creative Media campuses of Milan, Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Brussels, Madrid, Paris and Stockholm, between 2017 and 2021 he has been Course Leader of the BA in Media Design and Multimedia Arts while from 2021 he is Area Leader of Media Design and New Technologies, and Set Design.</p>
