Marco Scotini is the Director of Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies Department at NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti and Artistic Director of FM Centre for Contemporary Art in Milan. He has directed the PAV (Parco Arte Vivente) exhibition program in Turin since 2014. He curated the Albanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennial (2015), three editions of the Prague Biennial (2003, 2005 and 2007), the first Anren Biennial (2017) and the second edition of the Yinchuan Biennial (2018). His Disobedience Archive project was showcased in several European countries as well as in the United States and Mexico, before travelling around the globe for ten years. He has been the artistic director of the Gianni Colombo Archive since 2004 and has organised several retrospectives dedicated to the artist's work, hosted by international institutions. He is the author and curator of the Politiche della Memoria books series: Documentario e Archivio (DeriveApprodi, Rome 2014, and Archive Books, Berlin 2015); Deimantas Narkevičius. Da Capo. Fifteen Films (Archive Books, Berlin 2015); Artecrazia: Macchine espositive e governo dei pubblici (DeriveApprodi, Rome 2016); Gianni Pettena: Non-Conscious Architecture (Sternberg, Berlin, 2018); Politiques de la végétation: Pratiques artistiques, stratégies communautaires, agroécologie (Eterotopia France, Paris 2019). He has collaborated with numerous contemporary art magazines including Flash Art, Domus, South as a State of Mind and Kaleidoscope.
