NABA – Percorsi d’Autore: third edition of the film series
NABA announces the third edition of the film series “NABA – Percorsi d’Autore”, created in collaboration with Anteo Palazzo del Cinema. The programme offers an opportunity to rediscover cinema through an innovative lens that weaves together different artistic languages and highlights diverse authorial sensibilities.
Under the artistic direction of Dario Zonta (NABA lecturer, journalist and film producer), “NABA – Percorsi d’Autore” features screenings followed by conversations between the filmmakers and the audience, moderated by Zonta, creating a lively space for reflection and dialogue on contemporary cinema.
The four events will take place at Anteo Palazzo del Cinema (Piazza XXV Aprile 8, Milan). Each evening will be preceded, at 7 PM, by a live radio broadcast from the “Parla con Anteo” recording studio, during which students from the BA in Film and Animation will take part in interviews conducted by Dario Zonta and the programme hosts (including Steve Della Casa and Erika Favaro) with the participating directors. The live broadcast is part of the “Hollywood Party Factory” schedule on Rai Radio 3, the initiative’s Media Partner.
“NABA – Percorsi d’Autore” series reaches its third edition: the first two events
Screening of “Sulla Terra Leggeri” – Monday, November 3
Opening the series on Monday, November 3, at 7.30 PM is the screening of “Sulla Terra Leggeri” (2024), the debut feature directed by Sara Fgaier—who will meet the audience in the theatre after the screening.
Presented at international festivals, including the Locarno Film Festival, the feature film follows Gian, a professor of ethnomusicology who, after a sudden bout of amnesia, no longer recognises his daughter Miriam. To recover his memory, Gian immerses himself in an old diary he kept as a young man, where he uncovers memories linked to Leila, the one-night love that marked his life.
Screening of “Testa o croce?” – Monday, December 1
The second event will take place on Monday, December 1, at 7.30 PM with the screening of “Testa o croce?” (2025), directed by Alessio Rigo De Righi and Matteo Zoppis—both of whom will join the audience for a talk afterwards.
Presented at the Festival de Cannes 2025 in the official Un Certain Regard selection, the film is a full-blooded western set and shot in the Italian countryside at the end of the 19th century. It tells the story of Santino, a buttero who wins a challenge against American cowboys in Buffalo Bill’s show, and Rosa, a young wife who is mistreated.
Further details on the subsequent two events will follow.
