Once again this year, students, alumni and lecturers of the Academy will take part in the Milan Fashion Week: from the Mittelmoda final event to Milano Moda Graduate 2023, and many more.

The NABA events during the Fashion Week

Among the many events, until September 17, it will be possible to visit "ENDLESS MOMENTS" at LAMPO - SCALO FARINI, via Valtellina 5. The multimedia installation by Fashion Design alumna Narjes Ghorbani explores the complexity of loneliness and the passing of time. Entrance is free, subject to reservation.

On September 18, at the MICAM in Fiera Milano, it will be the time of Mittelmoda The Fashion Award – an international competition challenging emerging fashion designers enrolled in art and design schools worldwide. Even here, a former Academy student will present his work. Weiren Theo's collection "LEANDER WEI" will be on the runway. His outfits are a modern and provocative interpretation of masculinity based on a reinterpretation of the sarong - a traditional Malaysian and Indonesian garment.

The day after, Milano Moda Graduate 2023 – the contest dedicated to the excellence of Italian fashion schools - will take place. Starting at 2:00 PM, in the Sala delle Cariatidi of Palazzo Reale, two BA in Fashion Design students will present their looks. They are Carolina Popa, from the Rome campus, and Virginia Rubini, from the Milan campus. The former's collection traces a minimalist aesthetic. Whereas, the second one is the ultimate representation of chaos.

Also on September 19, Palazzo Reale will host the award ceremony of Maestri d'Eccellenza - a prize organised by LVMH in collaboration with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Confartigianato and, for this first edition, the Maison Fendi. Among the finalists in the "Master of Excellence Innovation" category is NABA lecturer Luisa Cevese, who has created a material from textile and plastic scraps. The access to Mittelmoda, Milano Moda Graduate and Maestri d'Eccellenza is by invitation only.

To conclude, NABA alumnus Phan Dang Hoang will present his women's collection on September 25 at 11:30 AM. The fashion show will be held online on the official Milan Fashion Week platform and will be accessible to all.
