Join the Graduates Fashion Show and explore NABA’s Fashion Showcase at Fashion Graduate Italia 2026: reserve your seat here

As part of "Fashion Graduate Italia 2026 – Speak Up!" – the twelfth edition of one of the most important national events for emerging designers, taking place from 27 to 29 October at BASE Milano (Via Tortona 54) – NABA will present "DESIGNERS + MAKERS. MASTER OF ARTS IN FASHION AND TEXTILE DESIGN", the Graduates Fashion Show featuring the projects of the MA in Fashion Design and the MA in Textile Design, together with the Fashion Showcase displaying the projects of the Fashion Design Area from the Academy's Milan campus. The in-person events will be preceded on Friday 23 October by a digital workshop for upper secondary school students.

NABA takes part in Fashion Graduate Italia 2026: the Graduates Fashion Show

On Thursday 29 October, from 4:00 PM at BASE Milano and live-streamed on NABA's YouTube channel, NABA's Graduates Fashion Show "DESIGNERS + MAKERS. MASTER OF ARTS IN FASHION AND TEXTILE DESIGN" will bring the projects of the MA in Fashion Design and MA in Textile Design to the runway of Fashion Graduate Italia 2026.

The show opens with "l'Archivio e la Maglia", a selection of knitwear pieces developed by MA in Textile Design students, created with the support of Lanificio Cariaggi and SHIMA SEIKI ITALIA using the technologies and machinery available in NABA's laboratories.

The pieces were made by the following students:

  • Giorgia Guadagno
  • Yu-Hsien Lin
  • Domiziana Mazzucchelli
  • Francesca Maria Pagone
  • Pier Paolo Rufa
  • Valentina Turri

Following this, the collections created by MA in Fashion Design students and selected by a jury of journalists and industry professionals during "DESIGNERS + MAKERS. SHOWROOM" – the event dedicated to presenting final collections, held at NABA's Milan campus during Milano Fashion Week® S/S 2027 and included in the official calendar of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana – will bring a plurality of voices and perspectives on the present to the runway.

Personal experiences, identity, culture, and social and environmental transformations become the starting point for design, shaping collections that use fashion as a tool for expression and dialogue. Different approaches and visual languages translate into experimentation with forms, materials, surfaces, and processes, conveying the personal vision of a new generation of designers.

These collections were created by the following students:

  • Olga Cosentino
  • Lilou Dallery
  • Alba García Martín
  • Jieyu Huang
  • Francesca Mirandola
  • Federica Nocera
  • Giulia Paradiso
  • Alice Sperantini

NABA takes part in Fashion Graduate Italia 2026: the Fashion Showcase

During Fashion Graduate Italia 2026, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the NABA Fashion Showcase, a booth presenting the projects of students from NABA's Fashion Design Area, open to the public in the schools' exhibition space from 27 to 29 October. Under the artistic direction of Andrea Cammarosano (designer and NABA Course Leader of the Academic Master in Sneaker Design), the Fashion Showcase translates the identity of NABA's Fashion Design Area into a physical and conceptual manifesto of design + making.

Through a dialogue between images and objects, the installation unfolds as an atlas of the practices surrounding the fashion object at NABA: culture, identity, ecology, making, industry, and communication converge in a constellation of references spanning different practices, techniques, and imaginaries, reflecting the multidisciplinary and ever-evolving nature of design at NABA.

NABA takes part in Fashion Graduate Italia 2026: the digital workshop

Ahead of the events at BASE Milano, NABA will also host the online workshop “Speak up! Costruire un messaggio è frutto di un lavoro plurale” on Friday 23 October, from 9.15 to 10.15 am. Led by Andrea Cammarosano, the workshop is part of Fashion Graduate Italia 2026’s programme of online workshops and lectures for upper secondary school students and teachers.

A garment, a look, a collection can carry a message, shaped as much by the designer's intention as by the process, the people involved and the skills brought into play. The workshop therefore starts with a simple question: who was present when that work was done, and how did their presence change the result?

Drawing on examples from years of practice – projects developed with factories and ateliers, collaborations with musicians and artists, work built around the body and identity – the session explores three areas in which a collection's message is the direct result of shared work. The first is creating with industry: what happens when students and technicians work side by side and the production process becomes an integral part of the content. The second is creating with artists: how collaborating with a musician or a visual artist changes what a garment communicates, and to whom. The third is creating with the body: how corsetry, accessories, hair, make-up and styling together build an identity that goes beyond the single garment. The examples will be followed by a discussion on which of these processes can be put into practice at school, and on who has already done so and how.

The workshop takes place on Zoom, and registration is required.
