For the first time, NABA is opening applications for five English-taught Academic Masters starting in February 2027 at its Milan campus, expanding its postgraduate offer with two new programmes. The February start provides an additional opportunity for students completing their degree in the second half of the year, as well as for those who need more time to organise their move to Italy and begin a new programme of study, particularly international students.
Applications open for programmes starting in February 2027
The introduction of a February application session marks an important development in NABA’s postgraduate offer: it does not replace the traditional October start, but broadens the options available and enables students to plan their educational pathway more flexibly. The Academic Masters beginning in February 2027 will retain the intensive, interdisciplinary and professionally oriented approach that characterises education at NABA, with programmes designed to consolidate advanced skills and foster direct engagement with the professional world.
The five Academic Masters starting in February 2027 are:
- Academic Master in Visual Brand Design
- Academic Master in Luxury Brand Management
- Academic Master in Interior and Living Design
- Academic Master in Fashion Management
- Academic Master in Fashion Design
The new Academic Masters in Fashion Management and Fashion Design
Among these, the Academic Master in Fashion Management, the first management-focused Academic Master offered by the Academy, and the Academic Master in Fashion Design are joining NABA’s academic offer for the first time. These two new English-taught programmes are dedicated to the contemporary fashion system. Let us take a closer look at the five Academic Masters starting in February.
The Academic Master in Fashion Management
The Academic Master in Fashion Management examines the dynamics of the contemporary fashion system from the perspectives of management, communication, branding and innovation. Through an interdisciplinary, project-based approach, the programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical tools to develop skills in product management, strategic planning, brand development and the design of experiences and events, with dedicated insights into sustainability, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
The Academic Master in Fashion Design
The Academic Master in Fashion Design, led by Course Leader Riccardo Scaburri, offers an alternative approach to fashion design: it examines the system as a whole, investigates its critical issues and opens up new directions for design, development and storytelling. Beginning with dialogue with professionals, the programme explores the intersections between disciplines and the plurality of creative languages, encouraging experimentation; following a theoretical and practical analysis of traditional methodologies, students develop new, more contemporary and critically informed approaches.
The Academic Master in Visual Brand Design
The Academic Master in Visual Brand Design trains professionals capable of developing visual identity projects and communication strategies, combining the expertise of the visual designer with that of the brand manager, the approach of the art director with that of the marketing specialist, and the agility of social media with the potential of new intelligent technologies. The programme creates synergies between different areas of expertise and encourages direct engagement with companies.
The Academic Master in Luxury Brand Management
The Academic Master in Luxury Brand Management is an immersive programme that provides the tools required to devise and manage innovative strategies capable of enhancing the identity and positioning of luxury brands, while exploring the dynamics of the sector and emerging trends such as sustainability, digital innovation and evolving consumer behaviour. The combination of theoretical lectures and practical workshops delivered in collaboration with leading companies is complemented by direct engagement with professionals, enabling students to learn how to develop communication campaigns, experiential retail strategies and innovative solutions for global markets.
The Academic Master in Interior and Living Design
The Academic Master in Interior and Living Design offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of interior design and contemporary living, designing spaces that respond to the needs of an ever-evolving world. Alongside theoretical learning on subjects including ergonomics, sustainability, innovative materials and digital design technologies, the Academic Master follows a learning-by-doing approach, with practical workshops and collaborations with leading companies in the sector aimed at redefining living spaces through an ethical, aesthetic and future-oriented perspective.
