NABA confirms its presence at Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition, Europe’s leading event dedicated to innovation, technology and creativity. For the third consecutive year, NABA Rome will take part in the event, giving visitors the opportunity to discover first-hand the value of design research and interdisciplinary experimentation that characterise the Academy’s educational experience.

«Maker Faire Rome»: the AURORA project and its teaching approach

This year’s edition features students from the BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction with the project AURORA, the outcome of the Computer Art course led by Gregorio Comandini and Saverio Villirillo, NABA faculty members and co-founders of Liminal State. A project that brings together design culture, innovation, visual communication and creative thinking to respond to the challenges of the present.

«Maker Faire Rome»: an opportunity for international exchange

Taking part in Maker Faire offers an important opportunity for exchange with professionals, companies, institutions and creative communities from across Europe. Within this context, students will be able to present their work to a wide and diverse audience, sharing the processes, methodologies and visions that emerge from the encounter between design, research and innovation.

With this new participation, NABA Rome renews its commitment to promoting an education oriented towards innovation and interdisciplinarity, strengthening the connection between academia and the leading scenes of contemporary creativity. Maker Faire Rome thus becomes a privileged stage for showcasing students’ talent and the contribution that design and communication can offer in shaping the future.
