From 22 to 25 October, NABA’s Rome campus will present, at the Mattatoio (Piazza O. Giustiniani 4, Rome) as part of the 41st edition of Romaeuropa Festival, the NORA and Opinione Pubblica projects, two computer art installations selected as part of POV – Point of View, a project developed by second-year students from NABA’s Rome campus attending the BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction.
“POV – Point of View”: the project and its teaching approach
Developed as part of the Computer Art course, under the artistic direction of Gregorio Comandini and Saverio Villirillo, NABA lecturers and co-founders of Liminal State, the project reflects the experimental and interdisciplinary approach that defines teaching within the Academy’s Communication and Graphic Design Area.
Taking point of view as a lens through which to interpret the complexity of the present, the students developed immersive and interactive experiences that bring different perspectives into dialogue. Individual perception, always shaped by cultural, social, emotional and perceptual factors, thus becomes a space for exchange in which even conflict can foster understanding, empathy and new ways of relating to reality.
“POV – Point of View”, the installations on display: NORA
Created by Nora Collective, NORA draws visitors into a scientific and sensory environment inspired by clinical and laboratory aesthetics. Through visual and sound stimuli, psychological tests and biometric measurements, the installation explores the relationship between body, memory, emotion and environment, revealing how the same experience can give rise to profoundly different perceptions.

Created by Collettivo 360, Opinione Pubblica explores the Italian healthcare system through the accounts of those who deliver care and those who receive it. An interactive device brings opposing perspectives into dialogue, inviting visitors to move beyond one-sided interpretations and recognise the human, relational and collective dimensions that run through today’s healthcare system.
POV – Point of View thus reaffirms NABA’s commitment to using the language of computer art to explore the tensions and nuances of contemporary perspectives.
