NABA takes part in "Behind the Canvas" the artistic experiment that gave life to the first participatory work of art created during an Instagram live, presented by Bombay Sapphire.

A 360 ° project which, for its realisation, involved the students from NABA Communication and Graphic Design, Design and Visual Arts Areas. The students were asked to give their own personal interpretation of the participatory work of art, created starting from the profiles of Paolo Stella, Influencer and Creative Director, and of Giuseppe Lo Schiavo, one of the main exponents of Crypto Art in Italy, in a digital NFT *, with the help of the social media community, making users the protagonists of the work.

More than 200 students of the Academy enrolled in the contest, starting from the virtual booklet created by the artist Lo Schiavo, had the opportunity to create their own personal artwork. The three projects by NABA students Yan Varisco, Filippo Vacca e Nathalie Roekaert  were selected as the best and unveiled on December 1st, to be transformed into wallpapers that can be downloaded for free from the Behind the Canvas landing page on the Bombay Sapphire website.

December 1st was also be the occasion to reveal the final work of “Behind the Canvas”: from the day of the live Giuseppe Lo Schiavo worked to make the artwork definitive and allow a flowering of botanicals to blossom inside it to cover the entire room and all the objects contained within. In the last few months, the project involved Domus Academy’s young talents in the realisation of the works presented in the physical set.
