Introductory level
This course offers a practical approach to reading trends in fashion and design. Starting with a look at how fashion trends have changed over time, participants will learn to recognise the drivers of change, distinguish between macro and micro trends and understand how they spread through culture. Through short lectures and guided exercises, from runway analysis to the study of emerging cultures and subcultures, they will translate signals into design directions, presenting one macro trend and two micro trends in a final report.
