Introductory level

The course offers an initial approach to illustration as a creative and strategic tool for advertising communication. Participants will learn how illustrated images can tell stories, convey emotions, and uniquely contribute to defining a brand's identity. Through exploration of packaging, lettering, character design, and advertising campaigns, participants will discover the potential of traditional drawing and illustration as strategic creative instrumentsand will work with diverse styles and techniques, progressing from traditional tools and analog sketching to digital illustration methods.

Objectives

Develop the ability to use illustration as a strategic communication tool, understanding how visual narratives can convey emotions and strengthen brand identity.
Explore diverse illustration applications in advertising contexts, including packaging design, lettering, character creation, and campaign visuals.
Have an overview of illustration techniques and styles, progressing from traditional and analog sketching methods to digital illustration tools.

This course is intended for students without any academic background in the specific subject area and for students attending their first year of university studies in Art and Design.
