Semester Abroad

NABA’s Semester Abroad programs are designed for international undergraduate students who wish to spend a semester studying in Milan or Rome*.

As a visiting student, you will attend lectures and participate in workshops. You will also have the chance to visit Milanese design studios, top fashion showrooms, and world-famous fashion fairs – or Roman art museums, archaeological sites, cinema sets and high fashion boutiques. You will also enjoy a variety of cultural activities, including day trips to nearby towns.

Through hands-on project work, you will enhance your independent critical thinking skills. NABA faculty members will guide you to develop your creative identity and clarify some personal and professional goals.

If you wish to apply for a Semester Abroad program at NABA, you must submit the Semester Abroad course syllabus to your home university in advance for their approval and confirmation.

The integrated academic calendar follows the European academic cycle, running from October to July.

The dedicated academic calendar follows the U.S. academic cycle, running from September to May.

NB Only dedicated Semester Abroad programs in the areas of Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Media Design and Visual Arts are currently available in Rome*.

* New Rome location subject to authorization by the MIUR (Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research)
