The Project

The first Design Residency: a partnership between NABA BA in Design students and Henkel - Testanera. Students have been engaged in a four-days intensive workshop at Fort of Bibbona, in Tuscany, aimed at rethinking the logic of retailing through an innovative and contemporary approach. The goal was to design a new pop-up store concept for the “Haircare, styling and coloring” line of the brand Testanera, with individual and ready-to-install modules.

<p>Born in Milan, he graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano. After a research period in Spain, in Madrid and Barcelona, in 2002 he founded his own studio, Modoloco Design Workshop, a space for experimentation and research, where diverse cultures and experiences are implemented as architectural and design forms. He has taught at the Faculty of Design and Arts of the Free University of Bozen, at Politecnico di Milano, and lectured in Italian and international institutions. He curated and participated in several exhibitions in Italy, Japan, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Sweden. Ambassador of Italian Design for Switzerland, Albany and Uruguay in 2017, 2018, 2019, he is the author of the books Globetrotting designers (Compositori), Design, scuola e solidariet&agrave; (Fausto Lupetti), Design from the Alps (Scheidegger Und Spiess), and Disegnare un cucchiaio per cambiare la citt&agrave; (Quodlibet).</p>

XDiavel Art Project: NABA Design Area students reimagine Ducati’s identity

Developed in collaboration with Ducati Milano as part of an initiative promoted by Ducati Mercato Italia, this NABA project involved Design Area students in reinterpreting the XDiavel V4 motorcycle, transforming its identity, power and engineering language into an installation.

NABA x Archivio Mantero: Future Makers — the foulard as a meeting point between art, fashion and textiles

“Future Makers” is a multidisciplinary project in which NABA students, working with Archivio Mantero, transformed the foulard into a narrative device: through archival research, materials and hybrid languages, they created works that link manufacturing memory with future visions.
