The Academy launches the International Postgraduate Scholarships, a scholarship competition designed for international students applying to NABA’s Master of Arts and Academic Master Programmes starting in October 2026 at the Milan and Rome campuses.

Aimed at promoting excellence in academic disciplines, the initiative supports highly motivated and talented candidates by offering partial tuition fee coverage up to €7,000, awarded through a portfolio-based evaluation.

Who Is the International Postgraduate Scholarships (Portfolio-Based) For?

The International Postgraduate Scholarships (Portfolio-Based) are designed for international students who are ready to take the next step in their academic and creative journey by applying to a Master of Arts or an Academic Master Programme at NABA Milan and Rome campuses.

They are aimed at candidates with a strong academic or professional background and a solid creative profile, who meet the following requirements:

  • They hold a University Degree, First-Level Academic Diploma or an equivalent qualification, or are due to obtain it by the end of the 2025/2026 Academic Year;
  • Alternatively, they have proven professional experience relevant to the chosen postgraduate programme;
  • They meet the language requirements of the selected programme.

International Postgraduate Scholarships (Portfolio-Based) – How to Take Part

Participation in the International Postgraduate Scholarships (Portfolio-Based) requires the submission of a dedicated application. 

Candidates who wish to apply must submit the following materials: 

  • The Application Form, downloadable at https://bit.ly/41WRgPS; 
  • Curriculum Vitae; 
  • An artistic or professional portfolio of projects; 
  • motivation letter; 
  • Academic documentation, including previous transcripts or mark sheets and the University Degree Certificate or First-Level Academic Diploma (if already obtained at the time of application); 
  • valid passport copy; 
  • certificate of knowledge of English or Italian, at level B1.2, according to the chosen programme. 

All materials must be submitted in English or Italian and sent in PDF format, divided into two separate files: one including the portfolio, and one including all remaining documents. 

Applications can be submitted online via competition.naba.it or by email at int.info@naba.it a, following the instructions outlined in the official call. Applications will be reviewed once all required materials have been submitted. 

International Postgraduate Scholarships (Portfolio-Based) – How Applications Are Evaluated

Applications for the International Postgraduate Scholarships (Portfolio-Based) are reviewed by the Faculty of the relevant Postgraduate Programme, in collaboration with the NABA Admissions Jury. 

Each application is assessed based on the submitted materials, with particular attention given to the portfolio, which plays a key role in the evaluation. 

In the event of applications receiving the same assessment, the final ranking will be determined by the weighted average of the exams completed as part of the Undergraduate Degree or First-Level Academic Diploma, calculated up to the date of application.

Note: scholarship amounts refer to the first Academic Year only. The Regional Tax for Academic Studies and the Graduation Thesis Fee are not included. The scholarship is renewable for the second year, provided that the requirements specified in the call for applications are met.

International Postgraduate Scholarships (Portfolio-Based) – Deadline and acceptance timeline

The deadline to take part in the scholarship competition is February 26th, 2026. Applications received after the deadline will not be eligible for the selection process. Candidates who are awarded a scholarship must complete enrolment within 7 days of the official notification; otherwise, the scholarship will be cancelled.
