An opportunity to bring young writers’ and filmmakers’ ideas to the attention of film and television professionals: the sixth edition of Z-PITCH Contest will be launched on Saturday 24 October at 12.00 PM, as part of the 21st Rome Film Fest, at Spazio NOTEBOOK at the Auditorium Parco della Musica (viale Pietro de Coubertin 30, Rome). Promoted by NABA and Fondazione Cinema per Roma, the competition is open to students and recent graduates of Film and Media Design Schools in Italy.
Z-PITCH: a competition dedicated to audiovisual storytelling
Z-PITCH is a competition for current students and recent graduates of Film and Media Design Schools in Italy. It aims to champion the education and creativity of new generations in the audiovisual field by bringing young talent together with industry professionals. The competition is therefore aimed at Generation Z and those wishing to submit original, previously unreleased audiovisual storytelling projects, whether feature films or series, that address relevant contemporary themes.
Students may submit their proposals from 1 December 2026 to 1 March 2027. The eight best projects, selected by a panel of industry professionals, will have the opportunity to take part in a day of advanced masterclasses and preparation for an in-person pitching session.
Z-PITCH: the talk at the competition launch
To mark the launch of the competition, a talk in Italian will feature a panel introducing the initiative. Speakers will include Domizia De Rosa (Course Advisor Leader of the Academic Master in Screenwriting for Series), Alexia De Vito (Special Projects – Fondazione Cinema per Roma) and Manuela Pincitore (producer and NABA lecturer), alongside some of the student finalists from previous editions.
