A new and significant recognition confirms how NABA lecturers continue to make their mark in the fields in which they operate, reaffirming themselves as established professionals who stand out both in teaching and in their creative research. This time, the spotlight is on the Visual Arts Area: as many as eight Academy lecturers have been included in the “Power 100” 2025 list compiled by Il Giornale dell’Arte – the historic monthly magazine and a leading reference point in the cultural landscape of Italian and international contemporary art for the past 42 years.
The “Power 100” selection brings together, each year, the hundred most influential figures in contemporary Italian art, identified by a broad group of experts and observers who provide an informed, wide-ranging and insightful overview of the national art scene. The selection is based on an assessment that intertwines professional achievements with cultural impact — from contributions to institutions to the ability to shape new visions and inspire real change within the art system. A recognition that celebrates not only the present, but above all, the future.
