An app to choose the best restaurants in accordance with people's nutritional requirements: "Mamma Mia" is a project by MA in User Experience Design students. It got a special mention at the Digital Innovation Days Italy 2022. Its development phases went from UX research to prototype tests, and the final interface is an attempt to warrant an optimal user experience.

The event and the NABA students' app to choose restaurants

Digital Innovation Days is an event focusing on digital transformation. Its core topics include marketing strategies as well as new technologies. During talks and presentations, pre-eminent professionals face issues and explore the potential of the digital world. The brainchild of BeValory, the #DIDASYNEXTGEN contest is part of the event. Here, the project born in NABA was presented.

"Mamma Mia" was developed by students Sara Buongiorno, Sara Gambino, Michele Lomonaco and Elena Migliorino under the supervision of NABA lecturer Rossana Lorusso. The main idea was to create a tool to search for restaurants that would take dietary needs into account. For example, the app suggests restaurants with menus for people with celiac disease or for those with lactose intolerance.

The project started with data collection and insights analysis. Then, students developed user models and a high-definition prototype. After testing its strong points and gaps, they improved the UX and the final interface.
