"Stitching Words. NABA Fashion Show 2024 - Milano" showcases the collections of final-year Milan campus students from the BA in Fashion Design. The event, held at Triennale Milano (via Emilio Alemagna 6, Milan), is by invitation only. It will be possible to watch the live stream from 7 PM on June 24 on the Academy's YouTube channel; weekly updates leading up to the Fashion Show are available on Class TV Moda and NABA's Instagram channel.

NABA Fashion Show 2024: concept and event

During this edition of the Fashion Show, 30 students from the Milan campus will present 120 creations selected by a jury of NABA alumni, journalists, professionals and companies. Each proposal is inspired by the concept "Stitching Words", defined by Nicoletta Morozzi (NABA Fashion Design Advisor) and linked to a reflection on language and its constant renewal to express actions and feelings in ways increasingly suited to the continuous changes in technologies and human relationships. Fashion is, in fact, a language, for that kind of alchemical phenomenon created in the relationship between people and the clothes they wear. From these reflections, the theme of NABA Fashion Show 2024 emerged, giving students the opportunity to create their own language, composed of stitched words forming stories through clothes, fabrics, photos, videos, and all the tools at their disposal, from embroidery to artificial intelligence.

NABA Fashion Show 2024: the Magazine

As in previous years, the 2024 edition of the Academy's annual Magazine, developed within the BA specialisation in Fashion Styling and Communication, is planned. Now in its eleventh edition and presented during the Fashion Show, “Darwin 20” narrates the creations of Milan and Rome students based on the same concept. The magazine gathers content related to the communication of the collections and special projects carried out during the Academic Year.

Four exceptional mentors and NABA alumni guided the students involved in producing the Magazine: Elisa Ambrosetti (Project Manager and Producer, nss magazine), Candela Pelizza (Art Director, Content Creator, and Web Influencer), Riccardo Scaburri (Fashion Designer and founder of Lessico Familiare), and Lorenzo Seghezzi (Founder of Lorenzo Seghezzi).

NABA Fashion Show 2024: the Faculty

The concept “Stitching Words” also inspired the final presentation promoted by Colomba Leddi (Fashion Design Area Leader) and Michele Corradini (Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design Course Leader – Milan), with the Artistic Direction by Paolo Bazzani (Art Director and NABA lecturer). The fashion show will take place within Triennale Milano. Accompanying the presentation of the collections music will be curated by the CPM Music Institute of Milan, the Music School founded and presided over by Franco Mussida. A special thanks to the project partners BCM Milano, Dr. Martens, and Sati Beauty.

Again, this year, the lead-up to the event will be broadcast on Class TV Moda that, in multiple episodes, narrates the lives of the students from the Fashion Design Area of Milan and Rome campus, their aesthetic influences, and the project and operational phases leading up to the NABA Fashion Show.

The Rome edition of the event will take place on July 11 and will showcase the projects of third-year students from the BA in Fashion Design at the Rome campus, all based on the same theme.
