An event that makes artistic multidisciplinarity its key strength, NABA collaborates with Associazione Barocco Europeo on the occasion of the "Festival MusicAntica - Baroque Stories". The 2023 edition will last from August 19 to November 19. It will include a series of events involving the Set Design Area of the Academy.

The contribution of NABA to the "Festival MusicAntica - Baroque Stories"

During the initiative by the Associazione Barocco Europeo, ancient music will look at contemporaneity and will be revisited by going beyond the artistic languages. The events in the programme will take place in Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste, Caneva, Fontanafredda, Malborghetto Val Canale, Polcenigo, San Vito al Tagliamento and Sesto al Reghena. The Academy students worked on the set design and costumes of "Aci, Galatea e Polifemo" - the performance produced by the Opera Barocca Lab of Barocco Europeo that will close the festival. NABA lecturers Giacomo Andrico, Francesca Pedrotti, and Francesca Guarnone are guiding them behind the scenes. The opera will be on stage three times: at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste on November 12, at the Teatro Miela in Gorizia on November 17 and, closing the festival, at the Teatro Arrigoni in San Vito al Tagliamento on November 19. Before the live shows, it will be recorded and then broadcast on Rai5, RaiPlay and some major Italian and international platforms, thanks to a collaboration with the Rome film company Treetone. Together with Giacomo Andrico himself, students will take the floor in the second talk of "Incontri con l'Autore". Here, they will face the theme of set construction, focusing on new digital techniques and Media Arts.
