NABA is glad to announce the launch of the feature film “LA PRIMA ONDA. Milano al tempo del Covid-19”, produced by MIR Cinematografica in collaboration with the Academy as well as RAI Cinema, AIR3 Associazione Italiana Registi, Milano Film Festival, Proxima Milano and Operà Music.

The film will be presented at the end of the event MILANO COMMUNITY REBUILDING, taking place on December 18th, live streaming from BASE Milano creative hub at 7 pm on Milano Film Festival’s YouTube channel. The premiere of the collective movie born during the first lockdown from the Instant Corona project, will be introduced by the reflections of its partners, directors, collaborators and editors, among which Marianna Schivardi, director and NABA Lecturer, as well as journalists and familiar faces from the world of cinema, revolving around the theme of “cinema and community”.

The students of the BA in Media Design and Multimedia Arts Lorenzo Bevacqua, Siri Crespi, Althea Francioso, Mariachiara Giuliano, Luigia Imbastaro, Francesca Livi, Silvia Mangione and Alessandro Montali were involved in the project as editing assistants, under the supervision of Amos Bianchi, Media Design and New Technologies Area Leader, Vincenzo Cuccia, Course Leader of the Bachelor of Arts, and Stefania Carbonara, NABA Media Design Academic Assistant.

This collective movie is born from the Instant Corona project that immediately launched its call to action to audio-visual professionals from Milan to tell the story of the first lockdown in a creative and artistic way. Almost a hundred artists volunteered to take part to the project, so that 57 different directors, each one with its own distinctive point of view could tell the story of Coronavirus’ first wave.

The premiere will be available on Milano Film Festival’s YouTube channel.
