In order to promote excellence in academic disciplines, NABA and SUNNEI support a motivated and talented student. The competition provides a NABA scholarship to cover the full tuition fee of the MA in Fashion Design starting in October 2022 at the Milan campus. In addition, SUNNEI provides a proper Mentorship for the programme duration.
The SUNNEI's contribution and the NABA competition
Originally born in Milan, established by Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo, with a global mindset, SUNNEI combines Made in Italy expertise with creativity and timeless authenticity. It aims to transcend the traditional fashion scheme by playing by its own rules through the use of a peculiar language combining digital and physical realms. Performing more like a creative platform rather than a fashion brand, SUNNEI’s garments are only one of the tools the brand uses to create and connect with their community. SUNNEI looks at the future by offering its support to a student with a proven innovative vision as compared to the traditional schemes of the fashion industry.
Not just a scholarship, the Mentorship concretely integrates the didactic process. The candidate who wins the competition will have the chance to visit the brand's headquarters in order to become aware of the concepts acquired during their studies. From stylistic and market research to the design of collections and marketing campaigns, the student will have the opportunity to take a close look at every aspect of the Fashion Industry.
The competition is open to Italian and international students; the scholarship will be awarded based on the evaluation of the candidates’ project, created starting from SUNNEI's brief. The project must be comprehensive: it should focus on various aspects ranging from collection design to communication. The deadline for applications is on June 15, 2022. The projects will be evaluated and selected by the Faculty of the MA Programme in Fashion Design and the SUNNEI Jury.
