The Academy proudly presents the second edition of NABA Communication Awards, the initiative meant to decorate the best projects created by the students of Communication and Graphic Design Area, and to celebrate the evolution of languages, styles and means of communication. The students of the BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction, of the MA in Communication Design (that evolved in the MA in Visual Design and Integrated Marketing during A.Y. 2020/21), and of the Academic Master in Creative Advertising, will be awarded in the ceremony, taking place on December 14th at 6 pm, in Anteo Palazzo del Cinema, Sala Excelsior, free access with mandatory booking clicking here.
Introduced by Patrizia Moschella, NABA Communication and Graphic Design Area Leader, and Fabio Pelagalli, NABA Communication and Graphic Design Area Masters of Arts Course Leader, NABA Communication Awards will be also available live streaming on NABA YouTube channel.
NABA Communication Awards are a unique communication award in Italy, for its thorough character, and for being entirely created and curated by an Academy. A much-respected one by the community of creative directors and communication experts also present in the jury, made up of about 80 members, coming from the most established agencies in Italy and from the communication area of brands, media and newspapers. The jurors were involved with the collaboration of Sergio Spaccavento, NABA lecturer at the head of the committee of Presidents of the Jury, to have the best possible assistance not only in terms of numbers but also in terms of quality and multiplicity of points of view.
The categories that will be awarded in this second edition are Advertising, UX/UI, Editorial Design, Brand Design, Photography, awarding the best Undergraduate Projects and Postgraduate Projects; Packaging Design, Visual Artworks, Logo Design for Undergraduate Projects, and Digital Publishing for Postgraduate Projects.
The jury along with the members of the Academy’s Faculty, including Patrizia Moschella and Sergio Spaccavento also selected the winners of the Grand Prix, the special prize dedicated to the best project among all of the categories, that is now split in Undergraduate and Postgraduate, to better reflect the skills acquired during the study course.
The winner of the Killing Brief category will be awarded a Special Prize, thanks to the collaboration with Wiko, the french-chinese smartphone brand ambassador of the democratic luxury, for conceiving the best creativity based on the partner’s brief.
Communication and Graphic Design Area will also dedicate three special prizes to the Best Student of the first, the second and the third year and to the best lecturer, with the special prize Best Rank Lecturer.
Lastly, a news Special Award will be presented: NABA for Goods, a category that awards the projects that have expressed social values related to sustainability, inclusion and diversity or that have an educational and world-improving purpose.
The best projects will be published in a catalogue with the graphic design curated by Paola Lenarduzzi, NABA lecturer and studiopaola Founder.
