NABA collaborates with CROSS Festival, an initiative curated by Antonella Cirigliano, lecturer of the Performing Arts programme of NABA BA in Set Design. The 2020 edition, entitled "Walk Edition", offers paths of performing arts, dance, theater and music in urban and naturalistic spaces, through 12 site-specific projects that will develop between July and September.
Italo Rota, NABA Scientific Advisor, participates to the Festival as President of the jury of the sixth edition of CROSS Award 2020, launched during the press conference on June 26th. Guido Tattoni, NABA Dean, is also involved as a tutor for two residency projects (LANDing in Verbania, by Francesca Foscarini and Cosimo Lopalco and INDUSTRIAL SOUNDSCAPE by Alberto Ricca and Elisa Sbaragli) and after being part of the jury that selected the five winners of the 2019 CROSS Residence, the project of artistic residencies that is part of the Festival. Stefania Carbonara, NABA Media Design Academic Assistant, and Diego Giannettoni, former NABA student, are part of CROSS Festival as well, respectively being the authors of the promo video and the visual, in addition to the collaboration of NABA students and alumni in other territorial projects.
CROSS Festival promotes experimentation and artistic investigation of contemporary performative languages, focusing on projects that prefer interdisciplinarity and enhancement of the territory.
