What's Plai?
PLAI is the exhibition-playground through which NABA presents the research and experimentation developed by students on the Master of Arts in Creative Media Production, taking their projects beyond the academic setting and into spaces open to the public.
Through multimedia installations, documentaries, VR, Artificial Intelligence, sound design, performances, workshops, talks and more, PLAI becomes a space for the Academy to foster dialogue between languages, technologies and new forms of expression. It is a key event because it highlights NABA’s project-based approach, rooted in learning by doing, and shows how students are encouraged to engage with the tools, scenarios, and visions of the contemporary world.
From 25 to 27 March 2025, PLAI brought the Anteo Palazzo del Cinema in Milan to life with the second edition of the exhibition-playground organised by NABA, showcasing projects by students from the MA in Creative Media Production across audiovisual media, Artificial Intelligence, and immersive storytelling.
From 4 to 7 April 2024, PLAI brought Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan to life with installations, performances, workshops and talks dedicated to creative media production, showcasing projects by NABA students from the MA in Creative Media Production across digital, analogue and emerging technologies.
