Introductory level

The course will explore various engraving and printmaking techniques useful for creating both unique artistic works (monoprints) as well as multiple impressions (editions).  Students will learn basic techniques and their application through elaborating their original projects.

Objectives
  • Develop an original project with chalcographic printmaking techniques
  • Use the language of graphics (engraving/printing) in a personal and singular way
  • Gain a more complete expression of artistic freedom through technique
