NABA Design Award is in its fourth edition, and the Academy is ready to announce the winning projects. The prize ceremony will take place in Milan at the Sala Excelsior of Anteo Palazzo del Cinema on Tuesday, May 17, from 7:00 PM. The event is free with compulsory booking. It is also possible to follow the ceremony of the design prize on NABA's YouTube channel.

The prize, the jury and the partners of the NABA Design Award 2022

Born from the idea of Claudio Larcher (NABA Design Area Leader), the NABA Design Award is a showcase dedicated to the best students’ projects of the last academic year. Candidates attend or have attended the BA Programme in Design or the MA Programmes in Product and Service Design, Interior Design and in Social Design. In addition to the Best Project of the year and the Jury Prize, there are 13 other competition categories; these range from the best BA Product project to the best MA Interior Thesis.

Donato Medici (NABA Managing Director), Guido Tattoni (NABA Dean), Italo Rota (NABA Scientific Advisor), Luca Poncellini (NABA Design and Applied Arts Department Head) and Claudio Larcher himself will take part in the ceremony. The jury is made up of Patrick Abbattista (Founder & CEO DesignWanted), Odo Fioravanti (Product Designer), Aurelio Magistà (Lead Editor of Design, La Repubblica), Marco Sammicheli (Curator of design, fashion and craft sector of Triennale Milano and Director of Museo del Design Italiano), Stefano Seletti (Owner and Art Director Seletti) and Federico Stefani (Founder & Team leader VAIA).

This edition of the design prize can rely on the media partnership with DesignWanted - a digital magazine dedicated to Product & Industrial Design, which has contributed to the event promotion. SELETTI will gift the NABA Design Awards 2022 prizes: the "Mouth" and "Peace" lamps from the BLOW collection will go the Best Project and the Jury Prize; the thermal flask from the TOILETPAPER and DIESEL LIVING collections to the other categories. A catalogue edited by Claudio Larcher with graphic design by Atto will collect all finalist projects.
