Congratulations to Giacomo Manzotti, NABA professor and alumnus of the BA in Media Design and Multimedia Arts, whose experimental animated short film "The Immortality of the Crab" was selected at Ann Arbor Film Festival, the oldest and one of the most prestigious experimental film festival in the world, after being selected in 15 other relevant international festivals.

"The Immortality of the Crab" was shot on Super 8 and made with in-camera editing, without postproduction. The animations were realized on 1125 cardboard frames and the original soundtrack was created using only sampled sounds by manipulating these cardboard frames. The making of the short film required 25 days of work, 34 hours of filming and various production materials for a result lasting 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

"The Immortality of the Crab" is available at this link: https://vimeo.com/347293219.
Given the limitations due to the Coronavirus emergency, the Ann Arbor festival program will only be available in streaming from March 24th to 29th, 2020 here: https://www.aafilmfest.org/58aaff-live-stream
