NABA is glad to present Sovrascritture*, the exhibition of 69 creations realised by the students of the BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction and by the students of the three-years design programme of Università La Sapienza di Roma, curated by lecturer Silvana Amato, born from a collaboration with Fabriano and Zanichelli, that from 28th October will be available in the Fabriano boutiques in Milano, Florence and Rome.
The project aimed at involving the students remotely during the spring of 2020, and revolved on the materials available in everyone’s home, conceiving a storytelling based on the individuation of words associated to images to create a catalogue composed of everyday words, describing distance, isolation, territories and habits of such a complex moment.
Highlighting words trough the definitions, a secondary tale emerged, an implicit dialogue with images, an involuntary poetry act.
Thanks to the partnership with Zanichelli, the Zingarelli dictionary definition of the selected words completed the combination.
More than 2,000 works were collected from every corner of Italy. The best 69 works were selected for the exhibition of 23 works for 23 words, divided between three cities.
