NABA together with the students and lecturers of its BA in Creative Technologies, and Manuelito gladly present “Manuelito Back to School”, a collaboration developing though February and March in a series of Live streaming starting today, on February 9th at 6.30 pm, hosted on the artist’s Twitch channel. The collaboration will culminate with the launch of NABA’s Twitch channel, hosting the last two live events of the series.
Through the 10 weekly digital events, the digital elements created within the BA for the project will be presented to the public.Through a character study based on Manuelito’s appearance, a bespoken 3D avatar and a virtual environment will be created and presented live on Twitch.
The creative idea will revolve around the theme of flight, great passion of Manuelito’s. The space realistic 3D modelling will lead to the development of scenarios, paving the way to XR (Extended Reality).
These innovative techniques will be presented through the many events in a series of formative moments held by Emanuele Lomello, Course Leader of the BA in Creative Technologies, and the BA lecturers Mirko De Angelis, Gabriele Lai, Antoni Montanari, Andrea Susini, Giovanni Visai, that during the live streming will teach Manuelito how to use the systems developed within the Academy to involve the channel’s community as well.
Through the events, divided in Project Live – formative moments for learning more about the creations by NABA and its students- and Pills – storytelling moments for the world framed by NABA BA in Creative Technologies, touching the themes of character design, animation thorugh motion capture systems, the use of Unreal Engine software, virtual production for the development of real time VFX and many more.
