Art education institutions from all over the world come together at the NABA Milan campus. In 2024, the Academy will host the ELIA Biennial (European League of Institutes of the Arts) - a network for exchange and professional development in higher arts education, representing over 260 members in 48 countries. Moreover, Guido Tattoni (NABA Dean) has been elected as ELIA Representative Board Member.
The university network and the world of art and design
ELIA is a European network operating globally. It is a hub for exchange and professional development in higher arts education. With an interdisciplinary attitude, it offers new opportunities and facilitates interaction between its members. The Biennial is an exploratory space where unique complexities facing higher arts education are closely examined from all angles.
On November 25, the Academy picked up the baton from the University of the Arts Helsinki. The ELIA Executive Group recognised NABA ability to react to circumstances. It pointed out a flexible attitude in meeting purposes. The announcement underlines the NABA responsibility to play a pivotal role among the major cultural institutions in Italy, and to be the largest academy of fine arts in the country. Newly elected as ELIA Representative Board Member, Guido Tattoni emphasises the Academy commitment to making its mark on the art community. He also focused on those values shared with the community of educational institutions that ELIA represents.
