The Academy proudly presents the second edition of NABA Design Awards, the event meant to decorate the best design projects carried out by NABA students of the BA in Design and of the MAs in Product Design and in Interior Design during last Academic Year that will be part of “Milano Design City” schedule.

6th Octoberstarting at 6 pm, the Award Ceremony will take place inside the Academy’s campus. The event will be open to the public with reservation to submit by contacting initiatives@naba.it and it will be streamed live ; afterwards the exhibition opening will take place in room G.04 where the award winning projects, selected by a jury composed by sector’s professionals, will be presented to the public.

The exhibition will be open from 7th to 9th October from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm, with reservation required by writing at initiatives@naba.it.

The award for the Best Project of the year will be complemented by the 11 categories: BA Interior project; BA Product project; MA Interior project; MA Product project; Photo; Drawing; Technics, materials and innovation project; BA Interior thesis; BA Product thesis; MA Interior thesis; MA Product thesis.

The jury called to evaluate the individual projects will be composed of professionals and journalists from the world of design such as Marco Sammicheli, International Relations Chief Officer of Triennale Milano, Interni Magazine’s editor Katrin Cosseta, architects Riccardo Crenna and Simona Flacco founders of simple fair, as well as representatives of the Academy including Italo Rota, NABA Scientific Advisor, Dante Donegani, NABA Design Advisor, Luca Poncellini, Design and Applied Arts Department Head and Claudio Larcher, NABA Design Area Leader.

The winning projects in each category will receive a trophy designed by Claudio Larcher and inspired by the anniversary of the Bauhaus centenary, while the winner of the Best Project of the Year prize will be awarded with a ConceptD workstation, the brand new products conceived for content creators, that Acer, world leader in the ICT sector with which the Academy started many collaborations, recently launched.

Lastly the finalist projects of this NABA Design Award edition, are collected for the first time in a catalogue cured by Claudio Larcher, organised by project’s categories.
