On March 29th at 6.30 pm NABA gladly presents ACADEMY ROOM, the experimental didactic project in collaboration with Archivio Atelier Pharaildis Van den Broeck, born with the aim of promoting and valorising the work of the Flemish Italian artist and fashion designer, in a digital event that will take place live streaming on the Archive’s and the Academy’s Facebook event.

The project involved the students of the third year of the BA in Painting and Visual Arts, in NABA Milan campus, that were invited to create projects inspired by the Archive. Within the Display course, held by lecturer Caterina Iaquinta, 33 young talents conceived 27 site specific projects, all based on the work and the Archive of Pharaildis Van den Broeck, with the aim of getting closer to the artist’s research.

The students that took part to the project are Chiara Armento, Gaia Baldan, Federica Barranco, Claudia Basini, Nicola Bianco, Matilde Bica, Marco Brombal, Martina Buemi, Luca Celé, Emil Cottino, Francesca Dalpi, Luca De Palma, Selene Ernst, Marta Gradenigo, Yijing Li, Elena Marcon, Lorenzo Milone, Federico Pellacani, Anna Laura Piana, Aida Portuesi, Francesca Romeo, Nicoletta Santoro, Giovanni Serralunga, Nicolò Soligo, Andrea Speranza, Katherine Teran, Matilde Villa, Marika Vitrani, Michelle Ucci, Iris Volpato, Isabella Zanon and Lilly Zelano.

Along with the Academy’s students, the presentation will see the participation of Anna Daneri, Archive Committee Member, Barbara Garatti, Archive Curator, Marco Scotini, NABA Visual Arts Department Head and Caterina Iaquinta, NABA lecturer.

The results of this individual and collective effort have been collected in an editorial project edited by Emiliano Biondelli and Ruben Rovati available both in printed and digital version.
