CROSS-CULTURAL ECOLOGIES, NABA Video Lectures

NABA is pleased to present Cross-cultural Ecologies a series of video lectures starting on June 16th, that will take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 5 pm on the Academy’s social media (Facebook, Instagram TV e Youtube) to give voice to a variety of different figures, knowledge, subjects and geographies in an attempt to find possible solutions to the current crisis.

A crisis that perhaps the current pandemic is nothing more than the latest sign of an environmental threat, following global warming, climate change and the jeopardising of the agri-food production model.

Cross-cultural Ecologies also stems from the belief that the greatest wealth of biodiversity is found in the margins and in (natural, cultural, social, productive) hybridisations.   

The opening video lecture will be held by Italo Rota, NABA Scientific Advisor, on Tuesday June 16th. at 5 pm; followed the interventions of Orsola de Castro, Founder and Global Creative Director of Fashion Revolution, Felice Cimatti, Professor of Language Philosophy, Università della Calabria, Carlo Ratti, Director, MIT Senseable City Lab, Founding Partner, Carlo Ratti Associati, Telmo Pievani, Philosopher of Science and Evolutionist, Università di Padova, Gediminas Urbonas, artist, researcher,  co-founder of Urbonas Studio and professor at MIT program in art, culture and technology, Giovanni Caudo, Professor of  Urbanistic, Università degli Studi di Roma Tre.

Moreover, the Cross-cultural Ecologies schedule includes the vision of the companies’ representatives that collaborates with NABA including Luca Montani, Communication and Institutional Relations Director, MM spa and Davide Damiani, External Relations Manager, Repower Italia and Marco Gualtieri, Founder Seeds&Chips and Sustain&Ability.

On this occasion, NABA will also enrich its IGTV channel for the recollection of all the video lectures in which interventions in Italian language will follow with those in English to open the reflections also to the international public of the academy.
