The Project

50 students from 6 different academic fields, 6 prestigious international companies, involved through 20 corporate representatives, together with 5 mentors, chosen within the Academy’s Faculty: these are the numbers of the first Digital Design Marathon, that took place on June 6th and 7th, for the first time digitally thanks to live webinars, recorded contents and virtual rooms.

A 48-hour long creative session, based on the Design Thinking approach, which involved NABA students in a challenge based on multiple briefs co-designed by NABA along with the participating companies: Cisco Systems, PoliS-Lombardia, LEGO®, MM, Sodexo Italia and ATPL.

The leading theme of the Marathon was "Tomorrow is urgent", chosen by the Academy to stimulate students to investigate the possible scenarios of innovation and change NABA will face in the near post-pandemic future, as well as the new possible ways of collaboration with companies, through the study of immediate solutions, allowing them to elaborate proposals for already existing campaigns also.

Brief

The aim of the project is to define new strategies and detect new services (or improve the existing ones – food is only a part of the global picture) to support students, teachers and families. This means providing a safe and healthy environment, offering a seamless transition to normality, improving the quality of life of all users. The solution should be made up of a bundle of on-site services that can be deployed by public and private institutions and economically sustainable, providing, among these, a tailor-made service that could be a valid alternative against food delivery trend.

Brief

The aim of the project is to imagine new digital solutions connecting the people of a large multinational organization (e.g. commercial, NGO, education, administration) that stimulates research and innovation, through the collaboration of multiple groups of peers and partners located in different places all around the globe. Aim of the solution is to exchange data, tasks, topics, best practices and results, in order to orchestrate all the actions dedicated to innovation and to maximize the exchange/cross-fertilization of ideas within the organization, creating the base for an inspiring, lively, fun, self-educating research community.

Brief

The aim of the project is to envision a scenario that empower the digital way to communicate Learning-Through-Play and promote creative time off for young adults. Adding a sense of touch to digital experiences to boost engagement and using digital technology to enhance and not just simulate old analog patterns.

Brief

The aim of the project is to envision a local ecosystem cell that can allow fair management of school-homework-leisure time, the reduction of energy costs, a better quality of life for people, the reduction of pollution and better relationships between neighbours. A network of citizen-centred services hosted by houses and building complexes.

Brief

The aim of the project is to envision a new public transportation service with a really fluid relationship with the users, based on continuous data flow and feedback, able to rapidly transform itself to meet specific needs in term of users, geographical areas, hours, etc. and adapt to temporary events.

Brief

The project aims to envision a new scenario of education that is able to create meaningful experiences over the impersonal remote world, able to reconnect and learn from each other experience. A hybrid campus, both physical and virtual that generates new and casual networks expanding our cultural environment and encouraging group work and peer-to-peer learning.
