The Media Design and New Technologies Area students' creativity meets the technological innovation of HONOR Magic4 Pro. It happened on the occasion of the brand's video contest. Here, the Academy's students conceived and made videos and backstage shots exploring "The Power of Magic" concept.

Emerging filmmakers and their projects for HONOR

Telling the magic of everyday life through a personal perspective: this was the challenge faced by BA in Film and Animation* students. Contestants were directly involved in the videos production under the supervision of Samuele Romano (director and NABA lecturer) and Stefania Carbonara (videomaker and NABA Media Design and New Technologies Area Academic Assistant).

Four selected projects met the HONOR brief at best. "Blooming", by Elena Chiocchini and Selin Zaimova, is a stop motion video. Here floral elements alternate, change and move following an emphatic crescendo. "4 th Wall Breaking", by Tommaso Mazzarini and Vesellin Nedelchev, is a commercial project. Its episodes revisit different film genres while keeping the smartphone at the centre of the narrative structure. Filmmakers shot the first two videos ("Spy" and "Wildlife") for the contest. Thus, Bruno Barisic is the author of "Liberté" - a project full of intimate images and evocative chromatic atmospheres on the Croatian coast. To conclude, "Radiant Dream", by Aikaterini Niniou, narrates the magic by filming a dreamlike and surreal performance.
