The lens captures the Italian landscape to analyse the transformations within the country: shots by former students and lecturers of the Visual Arts Department are among the works of the exhibition at the Scuderie del Quirinale. It is possible to visit "L'Italia è un desiderio. Fotografie, paesaggi e visioni 1842 – 2022. Le collezioni Alinari e Mufoco" ("Italy is a desire. Photographs, landscapes, and visions 1842-2022. The Alinari and Mufoco Collections") untill September 3

The photo exhibition, shots by NABA alumni and lecturers

In "Italy is a desire", the landscape becomes a metaphor for social, artistic and cultural change in Italy from the mid-nineteenth century to the present day. The exhibition retraces that evolution thanks to a chronological succession of techniques, languages and visions. It collects works from the Alinari Archives (by the Alinari Foundation for Photography of Tuscany Region) and the Museum of Contemporary Photography (Mufoco). More than six hundred shots are on show. Among them are also those by former students of the Academic Master in Photography and Visual Design Lorenzo Bacci, Fabrizio Bellomo, Alessandro Calabrese, Flavio Moriniello, The Cool Couple and Alba Zari. In addition, photographs by some of the Academy's lecturers - including Luca Andreoni, Stefano Graziani, Vincenzo Castella, Francesco Jodice - are on show. Participation in "Italy is a desire" is proof of one of the course's aims: to combine photographic technique with solid historical and cultural knowledge.
