Milan Digital Week and events involving NABA

The sixth edition of the Milano Digital Week focuses on the environmental, social, and economic limits of development. It aims to foster an inclusive, sustainable, and ethical digital transition. Among the scheduled events is "Didattica e AI, opportunità di ricerca per l'arte e il design" - a round table organised by the Academy to share the knowledge and practices that technological evolution offers in the field of Higher Education. In particular, it focuses on generative Artificial Intelligence and its potential in learning and teaching processes. Guests who will take the floor are Fabio Pelagalli (Course Leader of Communication and Graphic Design Area MAs) and NABA lecturers Riccardo Baccani and Luca Pianigiani, Pier Cesare Rivoltella (President - SIREM, Lecturer - Catholic University), Anna di Pace (Dean - IUL University, Full Professor - University of Foggia), Alessandra Micalizzi (PhD, Researcher and Lecturer - SAE Institute and Università PEGASO), Manuel Gentile (Researcher - CNR), Pierpaolo Limone (Dean - Università PEGASO). Fabio Pelagalli himself and Patrizia Moschella (Communication and Graphic Design Area Leader area) will moderate the event.

"ENHANCED CITY" stems from the collaboration with Municipio 5. During the talk, the projects realised by MA in User Experience Design students will be presented. They provide sustainable planning of technological innovation by paying attention to citizens and the interconnected city. In addition to the students and authors of the projects themselves, speakers will be Patrizia Moschella, Fabio Pelagalli, Paolo Atzori (NABA lecturer), Engineer Guido Arnone (Direzione Innovazione Tecnologica e Digitale - Municipality of Milan), Mattia Cugini (Assessore all'Urbanistica, Edilizia, Demanio e spazio pubblico, Verde, Arredo urbano, Ambiente, Mobilità - Municipality of Milan), and Natale Carapellese (President - Municipio 5).

To conclude, the NABA Milan campus will host "Il nuovo Made in Italy" - the recap of a cycle of twelve talks curated by NABA lecturers Carlo Antonelli, Giulia Ferrari, Alessandro Minnino, and Stefano Mirti. Last semester, more than sixty guests addressed some relevant topics in the fields of design, fashion, art, lifestyle, new digital economies, food culture, cinema, and music. Here, they focused on Milan, the comparison between the hyperlocal dimension and the international scene. "Il nuovo Made in Italy" will present this collective research on new forms and protagonists of contemporary Italian creativity in a broad spectrum of disciplines. The talk will be moderated by Luca Poncellini (NABA Design and Applied Arts Department Head) and Elisa Frau (alumna of the BA in Design).
