A group of NABA students pursuing a BA in Set Design have contributed to creating costumes, lighting and stage props for "El nost Milan - I signori" the second chapter of a three-year participatory theatre project. This initiative, conceived and directed by Serena Sinigaglia and executed by ATIR, will be performed from December 13 to 17 at Teatro Carcano, located at Corso di Porta Romana 63 in Milan.

The NABA students involved, who from April had the opportunity to work closely with various actors, include: Pernilla Bertagni, Alice Brignoli, Giorgia Carrara, Chiara Cavazza, Silvia Civrian, Diego Alonso Collado Cahuas, Elisabetta Donato Ugdulena, Margherita Medaglia, Alice Nasoni, Denise Navarra, Luiza Toteva, Valeria Rambaldini, and Lola Wolf in the co-designing and creation of costumes; Ziyan Peng, Linda Saltini, and Elena Toffolon as assistant set designers; Daiana Nitu and Ross Molla respectively in the roles of tooling assistant and lighting assistant.

The Three-Chapter Performance

El nost Milan”, Inspired by the eponymous work of Carlo Bertolazzi, which originally premiered at Teatro Carcano in 1893, uniquely involves 160 citizens participating in theatre workshops aimed at community engagement. These workshops, conducted by ATIR, Proxima Res, PEM, and Eco di fondo across various districts in Milan, culminate in three distinct events: the project's first chapter staged in 2022, the upcoming second chapter in December 2023, and a third chapter planned for 2025.
