NABA proudly presents the third edition of NABA Design Awards, the event, born from an idea by Claudio Larcher, meant to decorate the best design projects carried out by NABA students of the BA in Design and of the MAs in Product Design and in Interior Design during last Academic Year.

On June 22nd at 9 pm the Award Ceremony, which will be open to the public, will take place at ARIANTEO Chiostro dell’Incoronata (Via Milazzo 9, Milan). Booking at this link will make it possible for everyone to take part in the event: within Sala 2 the live event will take place, while in Sala 1 in order to expand the possibility of access in complete safety, it will be possible to follow it live streaming on screen.

The event will see the participation of Donato Medici, NABA Managing Director, Guido Tattoni, NABA Dean, Italo Rota, NABA Scientific Advisor, Claudio Larcher, NABA Design Area Leader and Luca Poncellini, NABA Design and Applied Arts Department Head.

10 the awarded categories: BA Interior project; BA Product project; MA Interior project; MA Product project; Photo; Drawing; Materials and innovation; BA Interior thesis; BA Product thesis; MA Interior thesis, with the addition of the award for the Best Project of the year and the new Jury Prize, aimed at valorising the research-oriented design approach.

The jury called to evaluate the projects is composed of professionals and journalists from the world of design such as Marco Sammicheli, curator for Design, fashion and craftsmanship of Triennale Milano, designer Giulio Iacchetti, Loredana Mascheroni, vice senior editor of Domus, Silvia Nani, design editor of Corriere della Sera, as well as representatives of the Academy including Italo Rota, NABA Scientific Advisor, Dante Donegani, NABA Design Advisor, Luca Poncellini, NABA Design and Applied Arts Department Head and Claudio Larcher, NABA Design Area Leader.

This year NABA Design Award is supported by Magis, founded in 1976 and international player, loyal to its essence of redefining design’s horizons that will homage the winning students with a Puppy, the iconic design by Eero Aarnio, while the Best Project of the year will be awarded a Chair_One by Konstantin Grcic.

Lastly, the finalist projects of this NABA Design Award edition, are collected in a catalogue edited by Claudio Larcher, with a graphic project by Atto, organised by project’s categories, which collects the contributions of the jury, free and thoughts on the multiple aspects of contemporary design and its future scenarios.
