NABA is pleased to announce that the students of the Communication and Graphic Design Area were decorated at Spot School Award, Mediterranean Creativity Festival - The Youngest Award, the international contest now in its 19th edition and dedicated to communication and advertising students, curated by RAI Pubblicità, Caritas Italiana, Legambiente and AISLA Onlus.

NABA students won the Gran Prix Città di Salerno-RAI Pubblicità prize, a Golden prize, a Silver and a Bronze prize in the Press Section, as well as a Bronze prize in the TV Section. NABA also won the Golden School Trophy, awarded to the Academy for the overall quality of the submitted campaigns.

The Gran Prix Città di Salerno-RAI Pubblicità prize and the Golden prize for the Press Section were both awarded to “Rare or medium or…” created for Legambiente by Sanjana Kadam, student of the MA in Communication Design, and conceived to raise awareness on the consequences of meat consumption on environmental issues and climate change.

The Silver prize for the same Section was awarded to “Do we really need a virus to save the planet?” conceived for Legambiente by the students of the MA in Communication Design Andrea Carta, Lorenzo Vio, Kaan Walsh and Zhang Yuchen. Their project was based on a reflection on the huge decrease in pollution levels caused by last spring’s lockdown. The Bronze prize was awarded to “Per riempire una piscina basta un hamburger” created for Legambiente by the students of the the MA in Communication Design Marianna Censi Morini, Camilla Ceriani, Silvia Trivella and Zheng Xinyi to communicate the intensive water consumption for agriculture and farming.

For the Section TV, the students of the BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction were decorated with a Bronze prize for their project “SOS: un silenzioso aiuto”. Their project consisted of a communication campaign composed of an installation and an emotional video, conceived with the aim of raising awareness on SLA and its effects on the lives of children whose parents are affected by it, conceived for AISLA Onlus.
