NABA is glad to announce its participation to 2020 edition of Cheers Qingdao World University Students Fashion Design Competition, the contest organised by BIFT Park (Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology) and by Qingdao city, to build a platform and create an opportunity for excellent young fashion designers all over the world by gathering education and industrial resources.

Mar'yana P'yetsukh, alumna of the BA in Fashion Design NABA, was selected to take part to the competition and its prize giving ceremony that will take place from 28th and 30th November in Qindgdao, with the collection presented as her gaduation project “Double”.

The collection is based on the concepts of minimalism and sustainability, and characterized by the element of knitwear, that is present in every look. The concept of sustainability is translated through snap buttons and zips that allow the garments to be composed and disassembled, to always obtain a different and innovative look.

NABA lecturer Alessandro Manzi also takes part to the initiative with his speech on the topic of “The trend of fashion education reform and industry diversification”, presented within a forum in which the professors representing the involved universities will participate.

Over 25 of the best Fashion Design schools from all over the world have been invited to participate to the competition, in which the students' collections will be judged by a jury composed by the representatives of outstanding brands of the Chinese Fashion Industry.
