Colomba Leddi

Course Leader of the BA in Fashion Design


Colomba Leddi has collaborated with many top fashion designers, including Nanni Strada. In 1992, she joined Frammenti, a group experimenting with artisanal techniques to be applied to the clothing sector.

In 1996, in a historic courtyard in Milan, she opened her own atelier of tailor-made, unique pieces. Her label, Colomba Leddi, can be found in some of the best Italian and foreign boutiques, including Rossana Orlandi, Imarika, and Chicchi Ginepri in Milan; Few and Far in London; Noodle Stories in Los Angeles; HP France and Takashimaya in Tokyo; and Husk in Australia.

Her work has been featured in fashion fairs and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including “Passeggiata evanescente” with Melina Mulas at Galleria le 5 Venice in Venice; “Tutti a tavola” with David Khon at the Villa Reale in Milan during the Design Fashion Week; “Intervallo” at the BankArt Yokohama in Japan, curated by Kazuko Koike; the group exhibition “Arts as Bread” at the Ljubljana Ethnographic Museum; “Suseta” with Melina Mulas at the Pinacoteca Civica, Como; and at the Triennale di Milano with Eidos Group.

Leddi is also a costume designer for theatre and cinema.

She has taught at many different universities and academies, including Politecnico di Milano and Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
