Fourteen students from the BA in Design with their course leader Claudio Larcher flew to Mexico from September 1st to 10th to take part in a workshop hosted by Trinitate, a manufacturing company specialized in interior decoration, located in the León area.

The 'Design Residency' format allowed the students to develop a collection of 15 items in terracotta and leather, the typical materials of local craftwork. The aim was to create quality items developed with an Italian design while leveraging the interaction between the two cultures.

"In Italy we have a great tradition related to design, both in terms of project development and of actual manufacturing. This cultural exchange can be fascinating for both sides, particularly for the Mexican reality, which can draw on our long-standing tradition." said Claudio Larcher.

Once production is completed, the items will be presented in NABA in 2018.

We can't wait!
