Each postgraduate programme sets its own admission requirements regarding educational qualifications and technical and project-related skills, as specified below.

If your background differs from the description under your program of choice below, you will still be considered if your motivation and research interest in the field are strong.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

NABA Programmes are taught in Italian or English. Students are required to submit evidence of language knowledge according to the chosen programme. The language certificate must be submitted within one month before the beginning of the programme and should not be older than 2 years.

The requested level for Italian is an intermediate level (complete B1 – according to CEFR).

Students can also take CILS, CELI, CERT.IT, PLIDA, provided that the final result is equivalent to complete B1.

  • Cambridge ESOL Tests: FCE, PET, CAE, CPE, BEC V, BEC P – minimum overall score: 160
  • IELTS (Academic/General): overall 5.0
  • APTIS ESOL: B1–B2
  • OTE (Oxford English Test) or OTE Advanced                                                          (min. score 97)
  • Linguaskill: 160
  • TOEFL iBT: minimum 45
  • Trinity College ISE: ISE Level I – all 4 skills – Pass with distinction
  • PTE Academic: 36–42
  • BIEB: B1–Level B2 Certificate in ESOL International (Level 1) – minimum 18/20 in each skill
  • Oxford ELLT Digital (Oxford English Language Level Test): minimum level 4
  • TOEIC (all parts): Listening & Reading ≥ 680; Speaking & Writing ≥ 280
  • European Baccalaureate: obtained in the last 2 years, minimum overall score 34
  • Iceland Stúdentspróf: grade 6
  • Norwegian Vitnemål: minimum grade 4
  • Danish Studentereksamen: Level A grade 7; Level B grade 10
  • German Abitur (accepted)
  • Avgångsbetyg / Fullständigt Slutbetyg från Gymnasieskolan: Engelska 6 (at least Grade C)

The following cases are exempt from language testing:

  • Native speakers
  • Students who obtained their high school diploma attending programmes taught in English (subject to verification by the Admission Office)
FOR NON-EUROPEAN STUDENTS ONLY: APPLICATION FOR A STUDENT VISA TO ITALY/CONSULAR PROCEDURES

1) Start the pre-enrolment process through the UniversItaly platform.

UniversItaly is a website developed by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) with the aim of supporting students thorough their study experience in Italy.

The pre-enrolment will give you the possibility to study at NABA and allow you to obtain the study VISA from the Italian authorities. Students are asked to pre-enrol and submit a copy of the passport, High School Diploma, transcripts, Language Certificate on the UniversItaly platform at https://www.universitaly.it/index.php 

Pre-enrolment applications are usually submitted between March and November of each year. This procedure is MANDATORY.

Usually it takes 90 days to get the study visa, so we suggest you to start the procedure as soon as possible. Make sure you do not miss this deadline or your study visa request will be refused for enrollment to Italian Universities/Academies.

2) Application for a Study Visa to Italy

In order to enrol to NABA, students are requested to have an entry visa for enrolment to Italian Universities/Academies, called STUDIO per Immatricolazione Università - tipo D nazionale.

WHEN: VISAS are released once the Pre-enrolment process through the UniversItaly platform has been completed and received positive feedback from the Italian Diplomatic-Consular Representatives.
