Togehter with Sky Arte, NABA Visual Arts Department students participate in the event “Souvenir di Milano” taking place in Piazza Affari for the occasion of the Milano Design Week. The project, born as a tribute to L.O.V.E. – the work by Maurizio Cattelan – and curated by the video artist and NABA teacher Yuri Ancarani, it’s an impossible exhibition, with installations during the day and video projections at night. It’s impossible because the videos will be projected inside an absurd and singular space: the Cattelan sculpture itself.
Current and former students of the NABA Visual Arts Department will be among the young artists, the “lovers”, that will deal with the marble colossus: through a dialogue and a reflection on the surrounding space and the irreverent sculpture, they will have to respect the strict limits of an unusual screen: a middle finger on a mutilated hand.
Also taking part in the event will be; Seletti, Disaronno, Gufram, the association Maestro Martino, presided by Carlo Cracco and Regione Lombardia.
