Secondo nome: Huntington is the exhibition currently hosted by Triennale Design Museum, Aich Milano Onlus and Huntington Onlus, and it is taking place at the Triennale of Milano. The project has involved for over a year family members of the patients, designers, biologists, researchers and FabLab/makerspace of the Milan panorama, trying to create a project that wanted to put an emphasis on a rare disease that does not have a cure yet. The Huntington's disease is a degenerative hereditary pathology of the central nervous system that affects people in the midst of their lives (between 30 and 50 years of age), affecting and changing their daily habits, cognitive abilities and autonomy. It is characterized by involuntary pathological movements, severe behavioral alterations and progressive cognitive deterioration.
The designers who took part in the creation of this exhibition include NABA teachers such as: Nicoletta Morozzi NABA Fashion Projects, Claudio Larcher NABA course leader of BA in Design, Lorenza Branzi and Alessandro Guerriero. The designers reflected on the theme of Huntington, its psychological implications, practices of living, more importantly about a diversity that, with different distinctions, each of us can experience in the course of life. The exhibited projects respect the needs of the disease, but they speak of gestures, emotions, disappointments, fears, hopes and universal challenges.
We invite you to visit the exhibition and support the project.
