The MTV Digital Days festival will take place in the beautiful setting of Reggia di Venaria in Turin on the 12th and 13th of September, featuring music and live performances. Having gathered more then 25,000 people, last year’s festival was a startling success and NABA is proud to be part of the 2014 edition through NABASound, Igor Muroni’s music production program. This will be a very special opportunity to explore the new sounds from the digital music field through meetings and events focusing on media and tech industry.
NABASound will take part to the festival with a workshop titled “Music from Lucky Things” scheduled for the 13th of September at 3pm at Sala del Rancio.
Inspired by the concept of sound identity presented by electrocacoustic composer Denis Smalley, the workshop will feature a collection of objects that will be played by participants, originating endless possibilities of different musical structures. Each object will be connected to a microphone to record and amplify its sound, creating a very special kind of orchestra.
NABASound has also arranged free transportation for those living in Milan and willing to attend the workshop on September 13th in Turin: a 52-seats coach has been made available, leaving from NABA Campus (Via Carlo Darwin 20) at 11:30am on September 13th and returning to Milan at 2am of the following day.
