Etihad Airways, selected David Monza, NABA student of the MA in Communication Design, as the winner of the contest ‘Fly in style with style’ in collaboration with NABA, last July.

Yesterday, Wednesday, September 6, David was awarded directly from the top management of the company: Antonella Cataldi, General Manager Etihad Airways Italy and Alessandra Marinozzi, Marketing and Sales Administrator; Nicoletta Morozzi, Fashion Project – NABA Fashion Area joined in the award ceremony.

Designing the winning graphics will allow the creation of canvas bags that will be honored to the most important trading partners of the airline on Etihad Airways 10th birthday in Italy, and it will allow David to get a ticket to fly to a destination of his choice among the massive destinations network of the company.

Thanks to a detailed study on the architectural forms of the Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi, David was able to create a graphic design with concentric circles: "The design I chose wanted to symbolize both the number of destinations served by Etihad Airways and hospitality, a symbol of choice inside the company values.

Antonella Cataldi, while reaffirming the congratulations to our student commented: "We recognized in David’s graphic design the true essence of Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi itself: hospitality. An important corporate core value that has been reaffirmed in this graphics, selected as the winner of the contest and that embraces our true soul and spirit".

Congratulations David!
